| The original formula created by Felicie Vanpouille in 1933. Vanpouille was the mistress of the founder of Caron, Ernest Daltroff. Most of the House’s greatest fragrances prior to the 1960’s were dreamed up by this extraordinary woman who until her early thirties was a jobbing Paris dressmaker. She remains one of the great noses of the history of perfumery. Fleurs de Rocaille is a magnificent floral bouquet with a champagne burst of aldehydes, roses, lilac and jasmine in the top notes; lily of the valley, violet, carnation and ylang ylang palpitate at the heart, on a base of musk, sandalwood, cedar and
oak moss.
