AMOUAGE (a hybrid word deriving from the French amour/love plus the Arabic amwaj/waves) was established by the Omani royal family in 1983 to redefine and restore the great art of native Arabian perfumery.
The legendary French Grand Nez, Guy Robert, worked on the locally obtained ingredients to create true masterworks of the perfumers’ art and skill.
The finest frankincense from the Dhofar mountains to the north of Oman, very scarce and almost beyond price, is an integral ingredient of all AMOUAGE creations, which are indeed a labour of love by their creators and which surge and billow on great golden waves of confidence and craftsmanship.
